a) An academic year, from Nursery to class Nine, is divided into three terms.

b) Three examinations from Nursery to K.G. classes are held in a year ( 1st,2nd,& 3rd term)

c) Six exams from class One to Nine are held in a year. Among these three are Term examination and the rest are Monthly Mid-terms. Marks obtained in the Monthly Mid-term examinations are added to the term examinations according to percentage in different classes.

d) Promotion to next classes depends on the average marks obtained in the three terminal examinations. Pass mark- from Nursery to class Six: 50% and class VII to IX 45%.

e) If any student fails to attend any exam because of illness or any acceptable reason, arrangements are made to promote her by considering the average marks of the attended exams. Though she may pass and be promoted in this way, she will not get place in the merit list.

f) If any student , for any sensible reason, fails to attend one exam or two, she has to pass in all the subjects in the final examination.

g) In class Ten there is a Mid-term exam before the 1st term examination. Then the pre-test and test examinations are held. Students selected for the SSC examination based on the result of the Test examination. Here the pass mark is 45%.

h) Students selected for the SSC Final Examination are provided with regular coaching. There is a system of weekly tests in the coaching classes. Eventually a preparation test is held on every subject. Attending this test is must for every student

i) The Higher Secondary Education is divided into two academic year :
(1) Two exams are held in class Eleven (half yearly and year final). A monthly test is held before each term exam. Marks obtained in the monthly test are added to

the term exam. Students are promoted to the 2 nd year according to the marks obtained in the monthly and term exam.

(2) Two exams are held in class Twelve (pre-test and Test). A monthly test is held before each exam.

j)  The selected students for HSC exam are provided with regular coaching classes. After the completion of coaching classes a preparation test is held on each subject. It is compulsory for all students.
